Real Food Markets CIC are monthly markets which take place on the first Sunday of every month (excl. January), 10-3pm on The Grove in Ilkley and the third Sunday of the month 10-3pm on Crescent Gardens, Harrogate (excl. January and December).
Started in 2016, the market features a wide range of local and speciality producers offering food, drink and crafts and was set up to be a community hub for towns, promoting speciality producers and talent.
We work hard to support local traders and also offer a number of stalls each month free to local charity and community initiatives. Real Food Markets is supported by volunteers and the work to raise more funds for equipment, bills and projects, and gather more volunteers, is still ongoing as the markets grow.
We work closely with residents, community groups, retailers and the council, and we’re proud of how popular Real Food Markets have become.
The directors of Real Food Markets are Lucy Allen (since 2016) and Becky Nash (since 2018). Feel free to reach out to them on via our Contact Page.

Volunteers
Quite simply Real Food Markets would not exist without volunteers.
Our amazing army of volunteers help us out each market day. Tasks can be as varied as building gazebos, setting up the information stall, taking enquiries, handing out masks and hand sanitizer, setting out cones or safety tape, locating stalls for visitors, clearing up rubbish, helping visitors who are lost or need assistance with their shopping, and generally providing a warm welcome to the market.
If you feel you may have a few hours to spare on market day and would like to help, please do get in touch
